For most of us reading this article life is about to change for the next seven great months. The last week of the preseason is here, which means last game to get ready and last game before final roster cuts.  One more week of backups as most teams will not play their starters this week. The main concern this weekend is to make sure they get thier roster together with no more injuries.

This week the NFL preseason schedule TV Lineup is Thursday through Sunday and mostly night games Thursday through Saturday. To close out the preseason on Sunday we have an early game and a afternoon game. The two games are between four teams that will try to get one of the few wins they expected to get this year.

Like usual most of the preseason action can be caught on the NFL Network. The action starts Thursday night when they share the football night with Prime Video at the same time.

Thursday August 25 – 2 Games

Green Bay Packers (1–1) -3 At Kansas City Chiefs (1–1) +3  Over/Under 38.5   NFL Network 5:00 PM PT

GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium Kansas City, MO

We will get to see plenty of Jordan Love in this game which will be exciting to see how the future Aaron Rodgers replacement does. When he comes out, we will get to see the LSU product from the practice squad Danny Etling. Both quarterbacks will be playing hard so it’ll be a fun last preseason game.

Shane Buechele will get the bulk of the action for the Chiefs along with Chad Henney the veteran back up. Both teams will be vanilla on both sides of the ball and play pretty simple. The main focus for both these Super Bowl contenders is to try to stay healthy.

San Francisco 49ers (2–0) -2.5  At Houston Texans (2–0) +2.5  Over/Under 40.5  5:15 PM PT Prime Video

NRG Stadium Houston, TX

This will be a fun game mostly because the Texans will play hard. Thursday night will be one of the few times they will be able to pull out a win this year. They are 2-0 already and knowing what kind of season they have to look forward to, most likely they will really try to win this game.

As for the 49ers we should see all three quarterbacks with Purdy, Sudfeld, and Lance. Most people will be excited to see Trey Lance on the field again and see him get some more work.

Let’s not be surprised if Texans play their starters a little longer and try to go undefeated in the preseaon. It might be one the only positive feats of the year for them so let’s expect a strong effort.

Friday, August 26 – 4 Games

Buffalo Bills (2–0) +6 At Carolina Panthers (1–1) -6 Over/Under 40  4:00 PM PT  Local Television

Bank of America Stadium Charlotte, NC

Let’s not expect too many starters in this game. Both teams will be trying to figure out the last spots of the roster and make sure they get out of there with no injuries.

The Bills come in 2-0 but won’t be going out of their way to try to get to 3-0. If it happens it happens. They won’t be gunning for it like the Texans and the Bears might this week.

The Panthers on the other hand might try to get some momentum going into the season. If the opportunity arises they might try to get both sides of the ball into a flow.

Las Vegas is telling us to watch out for this game. The oddsmakers set the line at Carolina -6.  It should be the only time all year we will see the Bills at +6. The smart move seems to join Vegas and give up the 6 with Carolina.

Seattle Seahawks (0–2) -7 At Dallas Cowboys (1–1) +7 Over/Under 37.5   5:00 PM PT NFL Network

AT&T Stadium Arlington, TX

Whoa another big line.  Did Las Vegas really have to make it that high? Now there’s two games like this in one day going on at the same time. Usually Las Vegas likes to split when they have two games like this going on at the same time so the correct play would be to play neither of them or both of them.

Seattle might give some effort on this one to try to avoid going winless in the preseason to hopefully carry some kind of momentum going into the regular season. Dallas won’t care about this one, they just want to stay healthy going into the regular season.

Seattle!? OK -7? OK

Los Angeles Chargers (0–2) +3 At New Orleans Saints (0–2) -3 Over/Under 36.5.  5:00 PM PT Local TV

Caesars Superdome New Orleans, LA

Perfect spread. This might be the funnest game of the night. Both teams will try to avoid going winless in the preseason while playing their back ups and third stringers that will be fighting for a job.

New England Patriots (1–1) PK At Las Vegas Raiders (3–0) PK Over/Under 37.5     5:15 PM PT Local TV

Allegiant Stadium Las Vegas, NV

Raiders might give it a shot, they might try to go 4-0 for an undefeated preseason. Maybe not but Josh McDaniels might try to prove a point against his former team. We’ll see.

Saturday, August 27 – 8 Games

Jacksonville Jaguars (0–3) +4 At Atlanta Falcons (1–1) -4 Over/Under 37 12:00 PM PT NFL Network

Mercedes-Benz Stadium Atlanta, GA

It will be hard for both these teams to get a win this year, so we might see both these teams try to pull out one of the few either team will see.

Los Angeles Rams (1–1) +2.5 At Cincinnati Bengals (0–2) -2.5 Over/Under 37.5   3:00 PM PT   NFL Network

Paycor Stadium Cincinnati, OH

Oh Hello! Super Bowl repeat! Watching the back-ups of the AFC champions and the NFC champions will be a great way to get ready for the NFL season. If you’re going to watch a game on Saturday this might be the game to watch.

Chicago Bears (2–0) +5.5 At Cleveland Browns (1–1) -5.5  Over/Under 42.     4:00 PM PT Local TV

First Energy Stadium Cleveland, OH

Las Vegas odds makers probably could’ve received even action at the key number of 3. Chicago has a chance to go undefeated in the preseason and Las Vegas set it at 5.5.

Arizona Cardinals (1–1) +3 At Tennessee Titans (1–1) -3 Over/Under 35   4:00 PM PT  Local TV

Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN

Even money, even action, even teams. Your call, go for it!

Philadelphia Eagles (1–1) +2 At Miami Dolphins (1–1) -2 Over/Under 37.5    4:00 PM PT.   Local TV

Hard Rock Stadium Miami Gardens Gardens, FL

Another one. Even Money, even action even teams. Go for it.

Washington Commanders (0–2) +6  At Baltimore Ravens (2-0) -6 Over/Under 39   4:00 PM PT   Local TV

M&T Bank Stadium Baltimore, MD

Winless 0-2 team vs undefeated 2-0 team at home, -6. Seems about right.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0–2) +3  At  Indianapolis Colts (0–2) -3 Over/Under 41.5    4:30 PM PT   Local TV

Lucas Oil Stadium Indianapolis, IN

Someone’s going to get their first win of the preseason, line of -3. Seems good for now. This one will be a big tip if it moves off the key number.

Minnesota Vikings (0–2) PK At Denver Broncos (1–1) PK   Over/Under 35.5.    6:00 PM PT    NFL Network

Empower Field at Mile High Denver, CO

The last game of the night it will be another fun one on NFL Network. Vikings will try to get their first win for the first year head coach but some of the Broncos starters will be sharing some playing time,  so this might be a good one.

Sunday, August 28 – 2 Games

New York Giants (2–0) +3 At New York Jets (2–0) -3 Over/Under 38.5      10:00 AM PT      NFL Network

MetLife Stadium East Rutherford, New Jersey NJ

This will be a battle of two bad teams but also the fun battle of New York. The teams that share MetLife Stadium will meet up in the morning to play the yearly battle of New York.

Detroit Lions (1-1) +4.5  At Pittsburgh Steelers (2 -0) -4.5   Over/Under 39     1:30 PM PT     CBS

Acrisure Stadium Pittsburg, PA

The Steelers could try to finish 3-0 and they do have some starting positions to work out so we might see them trying to win this one.

Preseason schedule TV

The NFL preseason schedule TV lineup is not as loaded as it was last week. Still plenty of football to stay busy this weekend.

There is some big action potential and we will review Saturday and Sunday’s games a little bit more as we get closer to game time. Now is the time to make sure that we are ready for the season and have all our tools set up. It’s time to get ready for some football!
